The Institution of Engineering and Technology was formed on 31st March 2006, when the IEE and the Institution of Incorporated Engineers merged. This
new name explains what the new organisation is about - a corporate body for those interested in either
engineering or technology, and covering sectors from ICT to mechanical engineering and beyond which now has
a membership of over 150,000 worldwide.
Business with the new Institution will continue as it did before with IEE.
